Any way for oil to mix with coolant in an fc?

I believe that I have old coolant, and it's leaving a sludgy deposit. I guess it wasnt flushed since the new engine was dropped in 20,000km's ago. I don't really know how to describe it, but is it even possible to have oil in the coolant resevoir? I think that its just old and contaminated. Car runs perfect. No symptoms of coolant jacket busting (had one bust on me before -- noticed immediately -- not pretty)

Thanks
-Ross

If water could get INTO engine, then oil/fuel could get INTO coolant.....

i could imagine it...

I don't think i understand what you mean. The system isn't pressurized like it would be with a blown coolant seal. As in, no bubbles or anything like that.

something might be weak enought to make some leaks thru the years, not big ones to affect performance, but some.....

do your coolant flush and check again....
