any suggestions before resorting to mazda dealership?

I have been trying to gifure out some problems with my 90 gtu. It is running really rich at idle, i even get a little black smoke at idle and i really notice it when i go wot or close to it at night w/ someone behind me. I have a full rb system and intake, no more. i tested the tps to the best of my knowledge, i adjusted it to one volt, resistance was a bit jumpy near wot. don't know if that could cause it. also, gas mileage has gotten worse lately. any help would be greatly appreciated, $160 for mazda to JUST tell me what is wrong is rediculous. thanks in advance.

Be really careful taking your 7 to the dealer! They are piston mechanics, and most do not know jack about the rotary! They can usually do more damage than good! Do some juick research, and find a rotary specialist in your area! Good Luck!

Most likely you have a sensor problem. I would suggest the water thermo sensor as the most likely suspect. If not, check the air intake sensor, the pressure sensor, and the MAF, although the MAF being bad is unlikely because you would most likely run lean with a bad MAF. Hope this helps.
