the way i figure 25 bucks from a yard is better than 300 bucks on ebay so i doubt it, but is there something out there that will work?

Actually the FC's rad is quite large. You may find something that would "cool better" but it would be too big for the hole, or have improper inlets/outlets.
A large gas truck like an old Dodge with a 460 in it would have a rad the size of the front end of the FC. And I'm sure anything that fits in the hole the FC has would only cool as well as the stocker (presuming the same core thickness/rad material) so why bother spending time and money making brackets and longer rad hoses, etc?
The stock cooling system we have cools down most of the FC race cars (full track cars with bridge's) so it shouldn't cause problems on the street....assuming that its all working properly.
