any racers have an oil pan baffle?
ok, so i looked at the racing beat one. That doesnt look like what i need. It says "slows down the returen of oil to the pan" well, for mem thats bad!!! I need oil in my pan! At my autocross i have a very long, hard right hand turn. Durring that turn my oil light and buzzer comes on. Does anyone make a baffle or an oil pan that will prevent this?
I have both an oil pan modified by Pineapple Racing and also a Racing beat pan baffle (which is the one I have installed), they work slightly differently.
As you may know, a standard baffled oil pan has vertical sections welded in to slow the oil from rapidly sloshing back and forth. However, the Racing Beat oil pan baffle sits on top of the oil pan near the level of the oil and so the oil has no where to slosh to- it is like a full cup w/ a lid on it.
Even the stock TII oil pan has a conscession to slow the return of oil (a small platform under the oil relief/return) so that aerated oil settles some before returning to the pan- so avoiding a pan w/ lots of oil froth instead of liquid oil. The Racing Beat one takes this a step further as oil can travel across the entire baffles surface, though it has many return holes along the way.
Dont worry, there is a finite amount of volume in the engine where oil can go- its not all going to be in limbo just because its return is slowed.
EDIT- Oh, sorry for replying even though I'm not a racer...

I'd say the baffle will take care of your problem by keeping the oil in the pan instead of it sloshing all over the place. Never heard of a sensor going off due to excessive cornering though. Could be a different problem

FWIW, I had the Mazdacomp unit and not the RB plate.
I would recommend baffles in the pan along with the baffle plate.
Yes, I run the baffle plate. No buzzers on left or right hand hard corners, don't know if that's normal or not since I installed the plate before ever racing the car
I got the Mazdacomp unit.
