Any interest in an R.P.M. Throttle Body Elbow?
RETed: know where I could find info on the effectiveness of the scoop on the FD i posted above? I have been unable to find anything on this and thought I'd have you give it a shot.....
I am not sure how the airflow will be affected by it......especially on a reverse vented hood...... I hope I made sense.

Sorry, scoops like that end up being more of an aerodynamic drag than being useful for intake purposes.
There are a lot better designs that putting something like that on top of the hood.

I dunno what you're looking for, but a mirror smooth finish actually hurts airflow.
Sure, it's rough casted, but the units were made to compete with the GReddy unit.
I'm not sure what this RPM unit looks like, but I'd like to see what the finished product looks like before making any commitments.

BUT - for me, Joe is a few hours away. For higgi's elbow - I paid the 100 dollars, then a 22 dollar duty charge when I picked it up at the post office....thats hardly a "all in" price, sorry.
But I can have an item that size cross the border for about $30, so its still a better price....or at least close enough to compete, which brings me to the point of the casting.
Im not talking about the inside of the intake, in fact, if the outside was the same as the inside - there wouldn't be an issue. But NO JOKE the outside of the elbow could cut you if you had little boy hands. Not exactly what Id consider to be one of the prettier pieces in my engine bay.
It would take 10 minutes to smooth that out on the mould, its hasn't been done, I would say that if Joe's (R.P.M's) elbow is even within 10bucks over and above I would buy it over Higgi's simply because it looks better. (if its indeed smoother on the outside
And if he designed it to compete with the Greddy elbow ted, didn't he note the Greddy one is POLISHED TO A MIRROR FINISH and take that into account when developing a competetive product?

I bet most U.S. vendors would get slapped a stupid CAN import charge if it got sent to you?

Yes the texture remains to be seen as the elbows haven't been made yet. But this is why I made the comment about them being smoother.....so he takes it into consideration when making them....
I wasn't aware that all of the Greddy TB adaptors didn't come fully polished. Either way, I HIGHLY doubt that ANY of them are even nearly as rough as Higgi's elbow.
Im not bashing anything, Im just saying, damb - clean that **** up. If he did hed certainly have a product that would be hard to beat. From the perspective of a person who has already bought his elbow - that my only beef with it.

If anyone from the US is worried about having extra fees tacked onto shipping, they really shouldn't be. I would be shipping them through Canada Post, which doesn't charge duty fees ect. Same as when people from the US ship to Canada.....USPS is the way to go.

I added a picture of the mockup. It would be a lot easer just to buy something like this. I also believe that a 3" would be much better then a 2.5". You can always get a reducer coupler to go from 2.5" pipe to a 3" TB elbow

Thats a pretty wicked design BASTARD, seems like it would flow excellent.
Only problem is that it would be a P/S-delete only elbow. Of course, I suppose Im one the very few who actually still have it....but nonetheless its a nice piece and I vote that Joe makes two designs....one similiar to that for those w/o P/S and one similar to the GReddy for those with.

Hmmmm....I like the 3" inlet idea (cant believe I never even thought of that LOL)
How about this, I design an TB elbow that has a 3" inlet, that clears the oil filter, oil fill tube and still clears the P/S ?
I'm thinking if you route the I/C piping under the PS pump where the A/C compressor goes.....mind you, you couldn't run A/C then haha.
Keep the ideas coming

I like the idea of the elbow not facing the firewall... If the product is good count me in!

my greddy TB isn't polished.
But I sure couldn't shave a cat with it, it's very very nicely well made.
IMO the greddy elbow and piping is P/S delete... it's very nearly brake-master-cyl delete too. I couldn't make my greddy FMIC piping fit nicely without moving my leading coil, cutting a big hole in either side of my car, removing my headlight washer tank, p/s and a/c, and relocating the battery to the rear. By far the most intrusive install I've done into the car.

1. for people WITHOUT power-steering....
I have no AC or PS so i need it to ONLY clear the oil filler neck so I don't have to cut it .
