Question Any Bolt On Big Turbos For An 87? Or Cheap Full Kits? Help Please?

I WORK AT A SHOP ( WWW.NOLIMITMOTORSPORT.COM ) AND WE HAVE A CUSTOMER WITH A 86 RX7 WITH A JDM TURO MOTOR IN IT, MICRO TEC, THE WHOLE NINE. HE'S LOOKIN FOR A LARGE TURBO, SUMTHIN IN THE T78, T66 RANGE, MAYBE EVEN A 60-1. HE WANTS SUMTHIN THAT CAN PUT ENOUGH POWER DOWN FOR MID 11'S WHEN TUNED PERFECTLY. ARE THERE ANY BOLT ON TURBOS THAT CAN SUPPORT THIS MUCH POWER AND CAN BOLT ON THE STOCK MANIFOLD? OR WHAT KITS ARE THERE AVAILABLE FOR THE 2G RX7'S THAT CAN SUPPORT THIS POWER BESIDES THE GREDDY KIT? HE'S LOOKIN TO SPEND SOMWGERE BETWEEN 1000-2000 IS POSSIBLE. IF THERE IS NOTHING THEN HE WILL JUST SPEND MORE BUT THATS WHERE WE'RE AT RIGHT NOW. ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED GUYS, THANK YOU VERY MUCH.

IF ANYONE IS ON A.I.M. OR AOL I-M ME AT GSXSTAC. THANKS AGAIN

Question

A few things that seem odd about this post:

1. All CAPS
2. You work at a shop...shouldn't you know these things?
3. Your customer wants to spend $2000 and get into the 11s?
4. You think a stock manifold is going to work?

Streetpower runs a T-78 on his TII. Its not very common on an FC, but lots of FD guys run it.

Good for about +/- 450 whp at 15psi

1. SORRY ABOUT THE CAPS

2. i dont know much about rx7's we dont specialize in rx7's, i know dsm's and we know hondas, we just dont know rx7's

3. he's spending about 10,000 total but we're looking to get him a turbo for roughly 2000 but if he needs to spend more then he will. with dsm's you can get a turbo that gets you into the 10's and bolts onto your stock manifold.

4. again i didnt know if the stock manifold would work or not thats why i was asking. on a dsm the stock manifold can be ported and used to runs 11's easily, i know dsm's and rotary's have nothing in common but thats all i know and thats all i have to relate to. i didnt start this thread to be picked apart and contradicted. thank you for the guys that helped me out but to the guy who wants to just bust my *****, just dont repsond to my thread if your just gonna be a jerk.

The Greddy 20g turbo kit runs around $2600. Has manifold, downpipe, wastegate, etc. Good for around 350-380 to the ground.

More than that and it's all custom. HKS cast iron manifold (about $250-300), T04 series turbo, custom downpipe, custom oil/water/intercooler hookups. The only real hard part is fabbing a downpipe - if you guys can do that or know someone who can, all the other stuff is easy.

Tuning the ECU for the single turbo, however, is quite a bit of work .
