im looking at buying an 89 gtus. its pretty beat up but its gonna be my slow rebuild car. the car puts out a ton of white smoke when first started. i heard a little smoke is normal, but theres a huge amount. and its got a problem at 4000rpm where it wont go past that. and to fix it you have to turn the car off then turn it back on to continue driving, but still wont go past 4grand. im wondering if this is that common 3800 hesitation? if you have any advice itd be a great helps
