Well when I was 16, I bought my T2 for $2250 and I was paying around $800 every 6 months for insurance. Its high cuz I had a 2 tickets then and I also live in California. California sucks. Hard emissions laws, high insurance, and CHP/cops.

oh BTW, I'm 20 now.. insurance is still pretty high $693 every six months but that cuz I've gotten more tickets since I was 16.

I bought my 91 (with 21,000 miles then blew at 32,000 )when I was 16 just going on 17....now Im going to be 18 in a month and working my *** off for mods But its been fun.

I was under my parents name and Im in NJ so it ran me 3000 a year full coverage. Then my parents kicked me off once my sister got into an accident(we are twins) so all our rates went up and mine went to 9 grand a year!!! So now Im on my own with just liability for $2600 a year... and thats with no tickets or accidents....NJ SUCKS

Try to get on your parents policy and if you have a sister dont let her drive...ever* lol

I got my FC when I was 16(maybe just turned 17), and I just put it on my parents' insurance. Just put the car in your Dads name or something, its soooo much cheaper. Im paying around $240/year for my FC and my '91 Dodge shadow. I had a Fiero GT before my FC and it was slightly higher, but still less than $300 year.

I don't have one because someone else got to it before me (doh) but I was quoted at around $120/month through State Farm on my dad's name... all our cars are insured through them so i guess we'd get some discount there. I live in Washington, I also get good student discount, and hopefully soon after taking this stupid little 'drive safe' package they sound out it'll be 15% less after that.

That was for a '90... i don't remember what model. Probably gxl.

Well I'm 18 and live in canada and it's $196 per month and that's with a 10% discount for driving for 2 yeas w/o an accident...originally I was paying $650 every 3 months but couldn't afford it. Canada has gay *** insuance prices especially in B.C.

I'm not 16, but I was once and I remember it.

For my 83 GSL (100 HP of kickass...) I had to pay 130 a month on my parents insurance for liability only.

I'm 23 now, I have my own policy on my TII, and it runs about 95 for full coverage...

I was quoted 5600/year (full coverage), about a year ago, before I had taken my defensive driving course (via my work ). That was when I was 16. Now Im 17 and Im afraid to call an insurance company But oh well, I dont have any tickets or anything + that drivers course so it shouldnt be as much.

I'm 16, my car is in my Dad's name (along w/ the 67 chevy pickup and 99 suburban). I'm just listed as a part-time driver for all 3. When me and the ReX were added to the policy, it jumped 150 a month for liability only. ($70 dollars for mom and dad and the 2 trucks, went to 210 a month w/ all 3 drivers and vehicles)

It dropped $10 a month after 6 months...still a lot of fricken money.

Im 19 and paying $92 with only a drivers ed discount. liability only.

Heres the real kicker, if i was to put my 17 year old girlfriend as the primary driver, it would go down to $64 a month.

Needless to say once I get it running she is going to be the "primary driver" >
