any 1 use donuts for skinnies when goin to the track?

i was wondering if any body uses the donuts to use as skinnies in the front? i am asking this because i would like to know the ups and downs before i go out and buy another donut and go to the track.id figure this would be cheaper then go out and buy 3.5 in 10 hole welds

what psi should i have the tires at?

are the tires safe to go 90+ mph straight down the track?

any 1 have a blow out?

They are NOT safe for speeds over 50mph (either the donuts or the rim) and I would not run at a track that would let you run them. If a track/sanctioning body lets competitors run donuts they obviously have no regard for driver safety.

by Donuts I assume mean the COMPACT TEMPORARY SPARE tire.

I have seen a video or two where people went out and got skinny high speed tires put on there spares and use them on the strip, I think that this is a good idea, myself

JUst a warning from me, I have seen this done: but i claim no responsibility for any damages that so ever could occur. Although i have never seen a problem with it.

the wheel should be good for high speeds, just make sure to get a real race tire. I believe RX7.com's front wheels where the donut rims.

Note...rims are more designed for weight capacity. When was the last time you saw a aluminum rim blow apart?

I can understand the tires, especially if they are the stock spare one. Hell i wouldn't want to try and even get those on the HWY. But the rim will be able to withstand that abuse. Steve Kahn uses a 16" Battlax motorcycle tire, on the spare rim. He's running 10's. PM him he's Pluto on the forum. i think that would be your cheapest bet. and still retain some safety.
