ha, for a lot of things im all for ebay ****....but, when it comes to something like a turbo, than can easily break a motor, i would rather save and spend money on a new, or used by someone who is credible(turbo that is).

Funny thing about people saying these turbo kits suck is that none of the people seem to have actually bought one. Its always that they know a friend of a friend of a neighbor who knows someone who bought one.

I don't care one way or another - its just an observation.

i know some honda guys running them but like i said.. honda guys.. and typically there cars end up doing something bad before the turbos do.... so i cant give you a track record. and thats turbos only i dont know what kind of wastegates they are running.

The M3 guys used to clown these guys over and over and over and over and over. AND OVER. Then people realized that just about EVERY MANUFACTURE sneds their manifolds and what not out to malasia and china to get welded. The difference in price is that someone like HKS for example puts R&D into their headers ans what not and build them. These guys buy one and send it to malasia to get copied.
There was also a thread in classifieds about these guys' manifolds, and if torqued correctly they never warrrped or anything.
As far as wastegates, ebay has been knocking off wastgates for years with success now.
Im not telling anyone to buy one or anything, im just saying that most storebrand stuff is as good as name brand, because its just labled differently.
I ALSO have not bought this kit, so i can't say anything about it. I just know others that have bought these kits for other cars. I don't know anyone that has ever had a problem with anything of theres other than something misfabbed, and they exchanged the product for them.

Yeah, it seems that not ALL of these kits can be bad....just because its EBAY doesn't necissarily mean it sucks...it just means it probably does

check out the sticky in the single turbo section about the ssautochrome turbos, the info on the company is staggering. they rip people off left and right. and they pay no attention to the BBB.

bunch of scumbags they are, indeed!!!!!

chris

ps, what does everyone think about posting that sticky in this forum as well?

frankly im tired of seeing these questions every day.

Check out the installed pictures..... HAHAHAHAH. Its a blown engine sitting on a used tire being used as an engine stand on the shop floor, obviously they just blew their engine with their shitty turbo kit. So they ripped it out, dropped it on the floor and snapped some pictures. Quality... NOTTTT!! (<--As Borat would say)

bullshit. my friend bought one of these manifolds and when he got it BRAND NEW the exhaust flange was already warped to hell and back. we put it on a machined flat table (perfectly flat within .0001") and it wobbled all over the damn place. you could even lay a pen across the flange and see a 1/8" gap between the middle of the pen and the flange from how warped it was, so it wasnt some miniscule amount. the wastegate and turbo flanges were just as bad. the good thing is the flanges are super thick so they were machined perfectly flat, and the manifold should work fine now. the welds looked pretty solid and it appears to be made of some nice material.

and another thing, even if this turbo was a high quality turbo (which i highly doubt), its a terrible choice for a rotary. notice the huge donkin exhaust housing? its 1.15 A/R, practically useless for anything short of a bridgeport. id be shocked if it made 10 pounds before 5500 RPM on a stock or streetported engine.

Their 60-1 has the same specs as a gt28rs, i looked it up, they don;t know what they're talking about and their impellers break and shoot into the intercooler. I'd use their BOV and manifold, but i don't want the wastegate screwing up overboosting and blowing an apex seal and i dont want anything in my intake.
