Dude...the hidden kill switch ought to do it....thats what I have on all my Rex's...I put a hidden in line switch on the wire coming to the EGI fuse in the main fuse block under the hood....if ye gonna leave the car for a while...take out the EGI fuse to boot...it the figure that out then replace it....it still wont start due to the kill switch and will blow their minds....hey better yet , blow a fuse by direct hook up to battery and use that one as a "placebo" if you're going to leave the car sit for a while....

^^^most of the thieves that have a nice rig to p/up cars go for the MUCH newer and HIGHER priced vehicles out on the road.
You get the same amount of jail time for stealing a 7 as a new Lotus. But then thieves aren't the smartest so disregard what I said.
Guys that steal 7s are small time crooks that hot wire. Attack that end of things.

you can relocate the little white button that makes it neccessary to press the clutch to start the car and make it a hidden switch to be pressed to start the car or do what i did, get a removable steering wheel hub and take it with you, cant steal a car that you cant steer

I heard a really interesting and decent idea from a friend of mine tonight.
Find a component on the ECU that is critical, and desolder it, then run some wires from where you unsoldered it, to a headphone socket in the dash.
Next, you solder the component onto the end of a headphone plug, and put casing over it.
In order for the car to work, you need this specific component and plug it into the headphone socket in the dash. :-)
a) Theives wouldnt know wtf the headphone socket was for
b) If they worked out what it was for, it would be even harder to work out what needed to be plugged in for it to work
c) Your car wont run without your special plug :-)

Around here honda and acuras are stolen by the hundreds, its common to see a integra sitting high (no engine) on a corner or an rsx with the interior stripped out lying in a parking lot. So what most of my friends do is relocate their ecu to the glove box and just take it with them when their leaving the car out overnight.
Some crews over here use flatbeds to pick up cars but they usually only do this in college paking lots or secluded areas since blocking off a 1 way street would draw some attention.
I persoanlly am just installing a loud alarm and a kill switch. A removeable steerign wheeel is a good idea but i feel the 7 is already cramped enough thta i dont need the wheel 2 inches closer to my face. The guy who had the car before me had 2 kill switches and a button that had to be held down in order to start the car. But i removed all those when i got it in favor of a cleaner method.

This is what we do on our block when we go asleep at night.
1. Pull the Ecu out & bring it home with you.
2. Put the rim boot on.
3. Put the Club & pedal club on.
4. Make sure that hoodlocks & pin are secure & locked.
5. Make sure rimlocks are secure & locked.
6. Fuel cut off switch.
7. Put multilock on.
8. Park in a tight parking spot(tow truck can't pull you this way if theirs cars behind & in front of you.)
9. Put the alarm on & go asleep.
After a car thief notices that you have a multilock, rim boot, rim & hood locks & an alarm that should be enough to scare them away.

It used to be if you put a "DIESEL" badge on any car nobody would look at it twice. "We can't take that one they'll catch us going up the hill" With fuel prices now, I don't know... I used a commercial alarm door or window magnetic switch(like you see on tops of doors at most stores) through a relay on the fuel pump circuit. Had to have a magnet in the right spot to start the car, the switch was behind a piece of plastic in the console.

this is coming in a little late, but pop the hood and pull the 1" diameter hose out from under the large intake tube coming off the air box... I had that pulled while installing my vac guage and forgot to put it back on... The car would start but would die immediately after... won't idle at all

unbolt your earth leads and put some plastic insulation between them and the chassis :P bolt back up. it will look ok to go but not go at all, and will also be quite the inconvenience :P
