Which antannae plug in is for the rear antannae

Like the title says, which antennae plug in is for the rear antennae? I have both a male-ended one, and a female-ended one. It's on an 86 GXL.

Thanks,
Chris

Lmao....

I think the male goes into the back of your radio. The female is a dead lead that was for the equalizer or something. Lol....

Mine has the same two connections and i think I remember putting the male into the back of my radio. If not you will have to get an adapter.

FSM seems to indicate it's the male one. Never trust a female.

ok, just wanted to double check since I have an antennae in my windshield and the rear one. Where does the female one go then, since I have the stock stereo with eq and everything, and it disappears along with the male ended one.

If I remember correctly, the female plug is for the diversity antenna in the windshield. Two wires run up the center of the windshield and the stock radio makes use of the front and rear antennas to get a better signal. I do not know of any aftermarket radios that utilize this function.
