Anouther should i buy this from ebay thread... Intercooler pipe kit

Just wondering if this would include enough pipe to pipe my tmic upfront or to pipe an ebay fmic. I have a series 5 n/a soon to be turbo. It looks like its just abs plastic but that could work fine. And it comes with some nice Connectors. Any savings/advantages over a simlar home depot racing set-up? Also i could use these for a little and then when i got the cash bring it to a pipe shop to use as templates.
heres the link:

wow thats pretty nice, i might have to pick up one of those kits, id try emailing them asking the elngths of each piece, then guesstimate how much piping u need maybe buying some 2.5" round cardboard tube, cut some bends and stuff.... and "making a template intercooler piping kit, so u know what u need, and how it will fit

Looks like a PITA. Your just going to have to recoat it. You wont be able to weld it unless its bare metal and it has to be a good quality fairest metal. Then you will have to repaint it again.

Unless you cut it for each bend and use a coupling.

while it might be a PITA, i really dont think you can beat it for 130 bucks. And if it is a unuseable POS your not really out of a whole lot of money. Just my thoughts.

EDIT: wait i just noticed ITS JDM!!!!!!

yeah that must be a standard pic because that does not look like the pipes I have in my Greddy kit nor does it look like you could make anything out of this kit fit around the power steering, AC and battery. Plus there is no throttle body adapter. I think they are just selling you some aluminum straights, bends, and couplers for 150. Some time take a look at a greddy kit they sell for 900 bucks. Can't beat that price after everthing is taken into consideration. But hell its your money

Seems like a decent price when you consider the raw cost of plumbing bends, silicone couplers and such. Even if it is coated, powdercoat/paint is easy to remove with an angle grinder and flap wheel.

Ok just wanted to add that i highly doubt this is alum. or any kind of metal piping. It's definatly black plastic. That makes it alot easier to cut and you dont need to weld or worry about them rusting. I dont have ac or ps so i dont have to worry about that. Seems pretty good as lon as there is enough to go around. And i can never get enough jdm intercooler pipes.

It's not plastic.
Plastic pipes is just plain stupid.

"Made out of High Quality Alunimum Black Coated Finish"
It sounds like it's aluminum pipes.
It could be "aluminized steel", but the shipping isn't that bad so I don't think it's steel.

A lot of Made-in-Taiwan companies offer very low-cost aluminum.

didn't see that one liner ^ How ever plenty of people use pvc or abs piping for there intercooler set-ups. Not pretty but can definatly withstand the pressure.

There was a recent thread on this.
The plastic pipes might be able to handle the psi, but they cannot handle the heat.
