I bypassed the fuel relay behind the headlight and checked the 12v under the dash(had 12v) and it still idling like poo.I cleaned the AFM a few times, still no help.

Thanks satch for your help so far.

I know my tps is set to 1.0. So that's elimanted,my FP is running good and I know I have spark.

Now the BAC clicks when the fuel pump relay behind the headlight is jumpered.

The BAC has nothing to do with the relay by the headlight. So, the relay under the dash clicks and then it's the relay by the headlight which clicks and now the BAC clicks. That's not the only thing that's clicking.

Well the clicking stop. And the idle issue has gone away unexpectedlty. And I continuously have a Code 10(AFM).I checked the resistance and it looks good but its still running super rich with really loud backfires with white smoke...and I know its fuel...the car had really old gas and I drained.

TPS is withing spec. But I'm also wondering if I should find a replacement? Would that cure my rich issue?

Code #10 is the IAT within the AFM. So, it should be obvious what the next step should be.

No, but the temp sensor in the AFM is rather important when it comes to figuring out the proper air to fuel ratio I suppose.

The item itself is replaceable (speaking about the IAT).

So I don't have to replace the Maf? I know there is a IAT on the UIM.

Yeah, the IAT inside the AFM can be replaced. Glad that was sorted out.

Is it a resistor or something of that sort? And the S5 AFM doesn't look look like it can be opened?

Perhaps S5's are different than the S4 version as far as replacing the sensor.

The FSM shows how to test the IAT and if it tests out okay then the problem is a faulty wiring connection.
