Another What are these wires thread.
Just out of curiousity.
I found a weird set of wires that aren't connected up to anything in my dash underneath the opening for where the radio sits in, in the same area where the cigerrette lighter wires are tucked under.
The colors if i Remember correctly where as follows, on a small connector an orange wire with black trace and a ground, then on a larger connector with regular male spades an orange wire and a black wire.
I started probin em with my multimeter and none of them ever had power, even the light socket that accompanied them tested with headlights on/off, key on/off.
And heres a shitty camera phone pic if that helps anyone out.

Yeah, I wasn't gonna hook em up to what they came with I was just searching for a good key voltage to splice to for my gauges and stumbled across them. So figured if they don't get power now I might as well figure out what they are so I can find out why there's no power.

I'm 99% sure I have this same harness in my '88 GXL. My stereo is hooked up and works just fine. I had just assumed that it went to the original equalizer or something.

Yeah thats the whole thing, I was checking the FAQ for these wires but apperantly they don't exist well at least not for the stereo.
I tried looking through the FSM to but there's no search there so its way to hard to find anything haha.
