Another S5T2 Joins the living
After almost 10 years after buying this car from Proto Motorsports and having it blow up because of some of the crap they did, I finally got my 90 turbo working again. I actually drove it out of the garage under it's own power yesterday. While it was down, I did basically a complete restore to stock. The only things I changed under the hood was removal of the Power steering (replaced with rack and pinion) A/C and removed and bypassed the ABS module stuff from the fender wall. I rebuilt and rewound all the harnesses, painted everything, had three boys born
. I'll post some pictures later.
I got a car that was okay for the price and turned it into something great. Between rebuilding the engine twice (spun front house brng on first start up a couple years ago) to rebuilding the turbo with the help of G-POP, I discovered and learned a lot. Not all timing pulleys are the same from motor to motor, I discovered there were about three different ones and each one made a difference where the timing marks fell. I learned that one burned out resistor (3.9 ohm) in the ECU can make a world of difference. I learned that my wife, even when she says she's patient, really isn't
. Thanks for all the advice and help to the folks on this that helped me out. Everything is back together and working with the exception of the wiper switch.
