Why would you put an intercooler on a non-turbo engine?

Hahahaha that hilarious!!!

Anyways, the point of an intercooler is to try to get your charged intake air back to ambient. And if your cars IC can do that, then you have a very efficent IC system.

But since you have no charged air into your intake of an NA, you would only be causeing more vacume in your intake. Which would kill power. And it won't get your intake air any cooler than ambient, unless you use like CO2 sprayers, which still probably wouldn't be worth it.
