Another mod to increase S5 stock wastegate effectiveness?

Ill have pictures later to describe a little more what im talking about, But

I have been porting the wastegate on an S5 Stock turbo when i noticed that the wastegate flapper has a small wear spot where it has been pressing against the turbine/wastegate cover thing, and there is a matching wear spot on the cover

Has anyone ever tried reliving this area in the flapper and/or the cover to allow the flapper to swing open more? I would try it on this one, however it was just sold.

I ground down the top of my flapper door, and ground the flapper door arm down so exhaust would flow better around it. i also ground down the spot where the flapper door hits the cover. Id say the door opens at least 1/4" more than stock. Havent got my car spoolin again yet, so i dont know how well it works.
