on the stock intake pipe that runs to the throttle body on my 91 vert there are two hoses that attatch to it that run to different parts of the engine.

what the hell are these and do i need them?

i was planning on rigging a home depo system today and saw those pipes and now i'm not sure of what to do. can i just can them off or slap those little air filters on them?

One goes to the bac valve. This increases idle when the engine load increases(a/c headlights.....).

I recently cleaned my bac. I tried to follow the other one but it disappeared. I was too lazy to prod further. I didn't notice them in the FSM(great annoying resource book sometimes).

Just remove them from the stock intake hose and insert/glue them into the drilled homedepot pipe.
