another Idle thread...

So my car stalls when its completely warmed up. I'm pretty sure its the idle. Its an 88 TII and I know where the idle adjustment screw is but can I just turn the car on, turn off all of the electronics and such, then change the screw and check the idle or will this screw something up? I've heard you can damage the car if you don't do it right. Thanks in advance.

How about the idle section on in the FSM? Thats the source I used for idle adjust instructions.

Your TII has 2 idle adjustments..Actually 3 if you count the idle stop screw, and thats not including timing.

What I would do is check timing, then jumper the ISC and start making adjustments in accordance with the FSM.
