Another idle problem thread (at cold start)
Ive read the idle troubleshooting page, but I was just wondering if anyone has experienced what my car is doing.
I have an S5 NA MT.
During cold start it seems like the AWS isn't working properly... It starts to rev up towards 3k, but stops at 2k down to 1.5k then up to 2k (kind of sounds like someone manually blipping the throttle over and over).
Once warm the car runs like a champ.
I initially thought it was the bypass air solenoid (that thing behind the BAC). But I believe that solenoid is on/off. So if it doesnt work it simply wont even rev up to even 2k right? Any thoughts? Some people have said TPS or even the ECU. Just wanted to get more ideas (waiting for a friend to get me his TPS tool in a couple of weeks).
