Another hesitation problem - running out of options

Well since I bought my car I've been having the hesitation issue between 3500-4000 rpm. It's not really pronounced, but it feels like the power hits a plateau in that rpm range. It's a s4 n/a with s5 intake. Sleeves removed, vdi open. The injectors were blueprinted and balanced by rc engineering about 2 years ago. I even got a grounding kit that I ran from the negative to a "terminal" of sorts that links all the other grounds together. Put one on the trailing coil, to the wiring harness ground to the ecu, one to the transmission and one to the firewall. The ones on the tranny and firewall are linked by the stock groud wire.

It seems like my engine had a fire at some point in the past, the engine wiring harness is a little crusty and the injector clips are broke on 3 of them, but they still plug in, and seems to be fine. Only thing I can think is to ground the pressure sensor. Aaron cakes webpage said it's the brown/black wire, but I think that's only for 86. What's the wire for the 88? Any other ideas I can try out?

I just want it to pull smooth

just because the harness "seems" fine doesnt mean that it is. since it is damaged i would strongly recommend replacing it. it would only set you back about 50 bux and 45min of your time, heck it needs it anyways

Yeah I know, a local fc owner can go through it for me and repair frayed wires and clips, and I will have him do it. I just wanna see about any other options because if I do that and it doesn't help I will be extremely butthurt

Revivng a dead thread. I'm still having this issue. First thing I want to tackle is getting new Injector clips.... Anyone know a place that sells them OE or aftermarket? Or any cars that share the same type of plug so I could splice and replace them?
