another exhaust question

how does the RP cat-back compare (in terms of flow) to the stock cat-back? Any hp difference between the two?

in your sig, you say you have one. What do you think yourself? I personally don't even know anyone that has anything from rp. But I mean, it's gotta be pretty obvious if you have one yourself. Is it a y or a single? If it's single, does it have a presilencer? How big is the diameter? Bigger than 2 inches? Than I'd say it flows better. No major bends and what not. I'm sure you'll gain like 5-10 hp from a higher flowing cat back if it's a larger diameter than the stocky.

well, I was talking like a dyno proven difference. I'm also talking about for an n/a. The exhaust makes a much bigger difference to a turbo.
When I put on the cat-back (after switching to the RB header/presilencer) I didn't really notice anything, except for a vast sound improvement. I wanted to maybe stick my stock cat-back back on, but if it takes away hp and if the sound becomes crap (I have the main cat on in place of the presilencer now), then I won't.

yeah, like I said. I used to have an 89 gxl, and I picked up an n1 single cat back, and I didn't feel a damn thing. but that's the 5-10 i was talking about, more likely towards the 5 side. Sorry. Get some headers, and THEN you'll feel it.

The reason why you guys didnt notice anything is because you have a bottleneck somewhere else in the system. Mainly referring to the cats/downpipe/stock manifold.

Good luck
