~In between classes again~
Right-o $100TII. You know where to send them. What about the pencil sketch of the kit I've already seen??
Had a few MORE ideas while sitting in my philosophy class. The plastic headlight shrouds? How about some in CF? I also remember FC3S.org's headlight kit. I need to look @ the mechanism for the light, but it MUGH tbe able to be made with a different armature or something on the headlight assembly. Who knows? Class time. I'll be back on at around 7:00 CST or so... L8er

Alright liquid, I sent you a pencil sketch of the front end... I would throw it up here for everyone to see, but A) it's a pretty quick sketch, nothing too fancy, and B) I don't know how.

Hey guys.
Mazdaspeed7; Sorry Adam, but I didn't end up going home tonight. There was a party @ my friends that I pormised to attend.
$200TII; Let me refine your sketch $100TII, if you don't mind. And post my Intrest thread. If enough people are willing to buy the body kit, or any other part of the kit, then I'll seriously consider marketing it. Otherwise... sorry, but you'll have to stick with what myself, Adam, and BoostMotorsport make... unless you're willing to shelll out over a grand to have it made by a local shop.
As you can understand, this is a 1st time project for me, but my famly has done many businesses and are helping me along. If I can find enough time, and skilled people ( I might eventually take another person on, other than my friend ) then everyone will be happy. Otherwise, I hate to say it, capitalism wins. If I can make money on it, and have enought desire to make it; I will. Otherwise, you're on your own.
Sorry if this seems jumbled. I'll re-post when I'm in a better state of mind. .. partys do this to teenagers.

Hey, $100T2, you are totally describing my system, man. But the only thing is you got it backwards. I have two 15" but they face towards the hatch. Slightly better sound that way. It's made of wood, not CF, the whole thing is. I want to make that false floor out of CF, though, and my question is what that would do to the sound quality.

CF (and fiberglass) are HIGHLY reflective substances. Flat surfaces inside the box will create cancellation in the sound. If you were to make a FG or CF box, you're want to coat the inside with some rubber cement or something, and line it with poly-fill.
As for the body kit; don't get too excited too soon. Realize how much time it took rotary extreme to make one.... and he didn't even design it! Anyway, I have to push a few more numbers, and then we'll get started on some projects (If the numbers come out green). I think our 1st couple of projects will be FG/CF FTP Vents (For those people, like myself, without FTP's)
After a few smaller projects (FTP's, Gague Pod, Tail-lights, and any other rinky-dink ideas {maybe CF door handles to replace the shoddy pot-metal ones?} then we'll start on bigger things, like hoods and body-hit peices.

what are FTP's? the thing i'd really really like to see is the lip for under the front of the s4 front bumper. i thought i saw one for sale but it looked like it was for an s5. door handles is a really good idea. my drivers side door handle is real loose and doesnt accept my key for some reason. i think its off a different t2.

FTP is flash-to-pass... It's the little lenses under your headlights that allow you to flash your high beams without popping up your headlights.

I was just browsing the interior section and i saw a dude that made EVERY interior piece (FD of course) out of carbon fiber. i think it was just an overlay, but it looked muy bueno. would you consider doing this with every interior plastic piece for FC's? i'm SURE that alot of people in here would like to have many interior carbon fiber pieces. we should take a poll to see which pieces would be most wanted.

Liquid- what method are you using to produce your CF pieces? Clave, bag ? Male or female molds? Polyester or epoxy resons? 2 part clear coat, or paint clear coat? How many plies for each part? What weight CF? When did you start learning CF fabrication? Thats close to 20 questions right?!!

I might have done that, but I went w/ the Type II kit instead.... Didn't want to have to buy the S5 bumper.

I would love to see FG-CF the whole stereo to armrest integrated, a smoother design. I would love to throw down some ideas on the computer if anyone agrees
There is plenty of room behind the shifter for a cup holder if not, off to the passenger side of it. And the arm rest could go back to the storage bins

Sorry guys, I've been away from a computer for a few days. Anyway, I'll adress some questions.
Jacobcarthmill; a) your "handle" problem, isn't a handle problem at all, it's the lock mechanim. Also, about the CF over-lays. Adam (Mazdaspeed7) is making some of the peices already in CF, so I'll have to talk to him 1st. If I make a canter console, it will have some custom aspects of it.
Boostmotorsports; I DON'T work with carbon fiber. My friend, Sheldon, has worked with fiber materials for a few years though. The idea came to me when I was looking @ my sunroof (which is rusted) to just hurry up and make it (Not knowing Adam had already started the mold) I started thinking about other products/projects etc. and that's where I am now. I'm more on the business/R&D side, and Sheldon takes care of the production aspect. Right now, I think we're just waiting on capital.
Seveninphilly; go for it. I'm always up for some new designs. Make as much usuable space as you can, and try to keep the origional lines of the interior. No really tight (<45degree) bends, if possible.
I'll check posts later tonight.
