Question Another Alternator Question???

I am doing some checks on my alternator before i replace it per last post of having slightly low output at idle...what i need to know is TEST #5 in Alternator section says Rotor/coil inspection, i removed the alternator from the car so i can see the back of the alternator its telling me to check terminal E and terminal L for resistance. L is marked but E i can't find....I've probed the whole back of the alternator to try to get any resistance but i get nothing....does anyone know what i might be doing wrong??? Or where terminal E is located???

personally i would take it to a rebuild shop. takes alot off your mind. most of the time the problem with the mitsu. alternators is the voltage regulator. its just a little silver chip that can be replaced. if i were the thing i would be most worried about is the condition of the rotor and the stator. because as far as we rebuild them if the rotor and stator are good we tend to replace the rectifier and voltage regulator as a precaution. so i would let a shop handle it.
