Another 3500 rpm wall fix (worked for me)

After I finshed my auto to manual swap I had the dreaded 3500 rpm wall. If you own an 2nd gen you know what i am talking about. I searched for a cure online as well as other places. So this morning I decided i wasnt going to stop working on my car untill it was gone. This is what I did first i did all of the ground checks like body to transmission, and body to rotor housing took it for a ride notthing diffrent. So I went home and opened my hood and decided to wait a little for the engine to cool and clean it. (A clean engine is a happy engine) When I started cleaning i decided to clean it all. So I am scrubing and then I was looking at the secondary injectors and they looked dirty but why just clean the out side of them I thought so I unpluged the wire from the Injectore and used some of that elctrical connecter cleaner on the plug and the injector hosed it off and pluged it back in. So down the road I go and I decide well lets just go on a back road and take it easy. When I went on the road I put my foot to the floor 1000 2000 3000 3500 no wall 4000 5000 6000 7000 shift. And then it pulled harder the hardest It has ever pulled for me. I couldnt belive it I got all my power plus some back. If this has been done before I am sorry that I took your time to tell you this I was just excited and had no one else to tell.

Hmmmm, good idea, I never sprayed my plugs off when I replaced the injectors.

Have any of you guys ever cleaned your own injectors BTW? I have another set here that I pulled and replaced with ones I sent into Cruzin', but a bud was talking about just soaking them in acetone and shaking them a bit, then running voltage through them to pump the acetone through.

I might just try it, but wanted to see what you guys think. I'd have to get new o-rings too, and the pintle caps ( where can you find the caps?).

Keep us updated on how that keeps working for you.

I sent 4ea. 550cc injectors to Cruizin and got them cleaned and flow tested for $12 ea plus the $10 shipping. Not worth it to me to mess around with anything else. Plus with the test results, I know what I'm running My two cent............ck
