Unhappy another 2gen off the road (pics)

Well, this is what happens when your pride and joy is hit by a friggin motorcyclist at 4 in the morning. The moron was wearing sunglasses and didn't see me and hit me at 40 mph. He lived. Didn't draw a drop of blood. Here are the pics. Also. what should i do know i didn't have collision and they are ruling it my fault be cuase i was turning when he ran into me. its all screwed up. Part it out? Sell it? Fix it? 88 SE only 69000 original miles and still runs like a total champ. Im devistated.

Fix it. I drove my first car into the woods at 50mph. The front end is all easy to bolt on. I've done it a few times. (Only once by necessity. Take it easy. )

Hmm.... I am having trouble seeing how it was your fault to begin with...4 in the morning and the guy was wearing sunglasses....little odd don't you think....I would get the accident investigated a little better and see if the guy has insurance and make his insurance pay for the car. I would get it fixed don't part it out.

Its VERY VERY VERY fixable

Do NOT part it out.

NO!

And get a freakin hour with an atty.
$100!!!

Hell tell you how to get the accident investigated, and the ruling changed if there is any chance to have it done.

They expect you to just take it and roll over.

Its your choice.

screw parting it, get it fixed, that is small compared to what i had to do to my 7 before i could really drive it, had to replace basically everything from the firewall to the front bumper. had the car in mazda so they could put a new engine in and they caught it on fire!!!!

Nice car man! (cept the dents) Anywhoo, this is a great oppurtunity to give your car an aftermarket look Clean car man, nice. The bumpers (stock) stock, should run, i say...from a junk yard about 250 and the quater panels probably 100 from the junk yard. The front bumper, nicest one around in my opinion would cost abour 2000 from japan. You can find all kinda of hoods kickin around at junkyards, on the forum. But please dont sell it. Like stated above, the rotary gods with smile upon you. Good luck!

Sorry to see your car like that. But I must say, I don't know if was your fault or the "other guys" But in California almost ANY accident the car with front end damage is at fault. Multiple reasons for that; some make sense, others are just lame.

The way I see it your car is very fixable, I am willing to bet the guys bike is GONE! considering the damage it did to your car. Don't forget that someone elses "baby" was destroyed in this accident, and its just that, a accident. None does this type of thing on purpose... the guy on the bike is lucky he still has his life! Keep things in a general perspective.. Your fault or his; your both okay... and it could have been a dead body on your mind tonight instead of a slightly bent RX.

I ride my motorcycle as much as I drive both of my RX's and trust me ... there is ALOT of people out there that should not be on bikes. ... but as for the rest of us; I drive much safer on my bike ... even though it is much faster than my cars .. do to the risk factor, and fear of the "other guy"

So please all of you. I am in no position to place blame here. But keep your eyes open for bikes, its lives on the line when your on 2 wheels not bent fenders.

Those prices above are high as heck for a yard. For new contact mazdatrix or Victoria British. Junkyard should be MUCH cheaper than what he quoted above.
