the OEM thermostat is rated for,I believe 13PSI..so if that Rad cap is for 18,then By all means Replace the Damn thing...And I just Reread a Post ..POLITO Told you the SAME THING...you can Blow Seals in the cooling system as they are rated for about the Same.So It's up to you,whether you want to Run a Cap that keeps Pressure in and Wrecks your Engine,or Spend 20 bucks and get a New one.
