amplifier power wire...

Where's the best spot to run a 4ga. cable into the car from the engine compartment? Looks like I could either run it across the firewall over to the main engine harness or even try to snake it in where the speedo cable enters the firewall, but whats the common consensus on the "best" location to run a 4ga wire into the interior of the car through the firewall?

I get outta here (work) in about an hour and a half and would like to be able to work on this when I get home.

I'll be running my new speakers (stock locations) off a Diamond Audio 4 channel amp and need to get my power in the vehicle.

I ran a 4 gauge, through the Firewall. There is a little rubber plug, under the Wiper motor, about six inches Down..it goes through the firewall, above the carpet in the passenger Compartment. From there I took the Plastic Rockers off and ran it under the Carpet and then Through a hold near the Corner of the Bin holder.I attached the Power connector there(went to smaller Wire)..That Essentially gets you to the Bin area,..you can Snake another wire and go into the Spare tire well if you want,by lifting the Rear Carpeting up.

^thnx for your input

I tried to do some searching before I posted this and now have done some more. Seems there is a good boot to run through on the drivers side, where a main harness goes to the engine bay? I will look for it when I get outta here (work on a Saturday...wtf?...damn retail).

I did find some info once I started searching for "battery relocation" and finally found some pics there.

I'll report back once I get a wire ran.

Any more info is still very helpful. Thnx

Yea the main harness area is perfect, i stuck a drill bit through first with small wire then graduated up to my 1/0 g wire, hidden all the way back under the carpet

^yep, it was fast and easy.

So final answer = main harness under brake booster which run out under the dash right above the left side (driver) kick panel.
