Amazing amounts of smoke...

I will start by telling you my specs just in case it matters: S4 13BT rebuilt by Rotary Resurrection in February, 720cc primaries and secondaries (Rtek v1.8), S5 turbo - Stage 4 BNR rebuild, Walbro 255LPH fuel pump, and Racing Beat REV-TII exhaust.

Alright, I recently received my BNR rebuild and installed it yesterday. I have let my car run a little bit before - not driven, but with bad turbos twice... atleast that's what I thought. Anyway, yesterday my car smoked like crazy (white smoke from the exhaust) and I checked around in the engine bay and noticed a small coolant leak above the turbo. I fixed the leak and did the two "coolant seal failure" tests on Rotary Resurrection's site.-> http://www.rotaryresurrection.com/2n...l_failure.html The engine passed... but Kevin does say, "Passing it does not necessarily exclude you from a seal failure." The thing is I started my car today and it smoked (white smoke) like crazy again. I looked near the turbo and saw a bit of white smoke. The leak was fixed but it was still smoking... down by the wastegate. I am very positive it is coolant being burnt off. Does anyone think that this is possibly just a coolant leak... maybe from the coolant "inlet" like where the coolant enters the turbo and is leaking down towards te wastegate? Could it possibly be something internal with the turbo?

My guess would be the turbo, maybe some newb mech f-d things up at BNR. But that's just a guess... my car was white smoking like crazy for a bit and it turned out to be the oil I was using (according to the guys at gotham racing). I switched from synthetic back to regular old oil and the smoking stopped... go fig.

I hope it isn't anything in the turbo... I waited so long for it be rebuilt. It would be better I guess than if it were the coolant seals in the engine.
