Am i the only idiot that didnt know?

So today was a nice day... figured i would wash my car.. i never really had a chance to clean my rims.. i mean really clean them. So i concocted the strongest wheel cleaner i could.. (dont ask, i just put alot of things together in a bucket. IE: Wheel cleaner, bleach, ect..ect..

Anyways, i took a brillo pad, and start scrubbing alittle, than i noticed my rims (stock 1986 GXL 15") so i'm scrubbing, and scrubbing...

All of a sudden i noticed the stock GXL rims have a POLISHED LIP!!

am i the only idiot that didnt know our rims had a polished lip? holy crap, so after spending about 15-20 min on each rim i got all the lips polished and very clean.. let me tell you, after 2 years of owning my car, i never knew that i had polished lips.. and damn do my rims look nice and clean. anyway gotta run. later guys

-Markus

"Damn, My rims never been so clean... BLING BLING>.. lol

Did the same with my vert wheels when I first got it-
the previous owner had let the brake dust REALLY accumulate. I thought the edges were rough like the center, until the simple green ate through that dust.

Eagle 1 A-Z wheel cleaner is the best stuff I've ever used. It managed to eat through the brake dust on a car that had been driving in NYC regularly... :gasp:
