Am i leaning out?
Am i leaning out?
Alright guys i need some help. The car is an 88 TII, with K&N intake, racing beat turbo back, street port, removed emissions, koyo radiator, and walbro 255. And i do have the fuel cut defensor. oh yeah and the wastegate is ported.
When i go wide open the motor kind of "hesitates" at 6500 rpm. It feels like you just let off the gas. I am afraid that the car is leaning out, or that i am hitting fuel cut even though i do have the fcd. Boost reaches about 6-8 psi in first and about 8 in 2nd gear. Kevin landers built my motor and installed my stuff, and he did say that he thinks by looking at the plugs that the motor is running a little lean, or at least "very clean" as he says. Im not doubting that he knows his stuff, but other people say that there is no way i should be running lean with so few mods and the walbro 255, especially since the fuel pump is going full blast all the time. So im just wondering if this sounds like im leaning out, or hitting fuel cut, or something else. Thanks.

yes i am running stock injectors. so for my mods what do you suggest? maybe some 720 secondaries? keep in mind i have no real way of tuning this car, no wideband or anything. so i dont want to run super rich, but not lean either obviously
