I use the term "rice" because there has to be some way to refer to that element of the car world. It has taken on a derogatory tone and for a good reason. It's a reference to that section of the automotive world where the classificants acquire economy/family-based automobiles and, in their struggle to emulate the automobiles that are truly sports oriented, insult that same group by creating a cartoonish caricature that deserves comment. As humans, we are predisposed to comparisons between the outside world and our own internal experiences and we will deride something which is under our predetermined standards or, in the case of "ricers", is a complete abberration. And, boostmotorsport, since you seem to have a real aversion to anything "immature", isn't it, in fact, the desire to put a giant wing on a car that would never benefit from the aerodynamic characteristics and instead because it looks "cool" or "tight" or "mean" an "immature" thing to do? Just get off your soap box...this is a public forum and opinions will prevail.

That sweet wing that is low is the Cusco wing, I have not been able to find someone who sells/imports it.

I'm not sure what having the windows open has to do with anything, but let me clarify myself since you obviously don't have what it takes to understand yourself. "Ricer" is simply a linguistic to refer to that element of the car world that wants to belong to the sports car world so bad that they create some sort of aberration that insults the true sports- car owner. I simply use that term when I am in a conversation with another owner of a true sportscar. It's just easier to have a single word that is as descriptive as a string of words that decribe the same thing. I'll be honest...I think those people are pathetic and I wish they would just stop trying so hard to "fit in" or "be cool" because they actually achieving something quite the opposite of their intended goal and ,again, that's MY OPINION. I'm not playing the role of a, how did you put it, "tough guy", I'm simply exercising my right to free speech and using the forum as it was intended...to voice one's opinion. If you don't agree with my words, click the "back" button and move on to the next thread like I do. I'd be glad to post a photo of my car if it were to prove anything, but it won't. My car is a beautiful, STOCK '91 N/A and the only visible after-market items I have is wheels. Not visor decals declaring the brand of air filter I have, or some colossal aluminum wing. Come on, do you really think these guys want to put a wing on because it will aid in downforce and increase adhesion? If you do, you're as lost as you sound. They want to put those on because they think their car and, by extension, they will look "cool", "tight" or "mean". Oh yeah, one more thing. Don't try to match wits with me or you will be cast down with the Sodomites.

As Attomica's brother, I can vouch for the fact that it does make him feel good when he makes fun of people. And, he's quite good at it, as you are now learning.

Here's an eloquent comment on the whole "ricer" thing.
