Alternator wiring question

I'm going to put an FC alternator on my old MG Midget, because the Lucas unit as made has a low amperage output. Anyway,...I know that the large wire from the top terminal on the alternator goes to the battery, but where do the other two wires go? (The ones that connect into a harness plug.)
Thanks in advance.

Pete

ON a series four you only NEED the switch batt to the R terminal. The L just puts a gnd on the idiot light cluster to let you know the alt isn't working.
