Ya that should work no problem. Mine was directly above the casing of the FD alt.

so with all these upgraded alternators and higher amps do you have to use a higher amp fuse ive noticed s4 is an 80amp fuse for hte egi and s5 is 100. has anyone had problems of blowin fuses?
