my s5 gxl underwent a TII swap, but the s5 NA had an s4 alternator on it, and the guy that did my swap said the connector is wired odd i guess, and he said that the best bet would be to put an s5 alternator on it... but the TII engine is an s4 and the s4 harness is somewhat spliced into the s5 harness to make all the dash lights and sensors work with my chassis harness... my basic question is what alternator should i put on there and what could be some consequences of the wrong one?
