FL Alternator problems

Hello everyone, recently I've been having issues with my alternator not charging. I got it tested at 3 different places and tested bad once. I have a new yellowtop maybe 2 weeks old now. I've tested the alternator with a multimeter and sometimes it charges. I read that I needed to excite it that too o ly works sometimes. Im also having issues where when I'm slowing down the engine will cut off when I come to a complete stop, basically I heel-toe at a red light. The main fuse has continuity, so idk what to do next. I'm broke college kid so it's a challenge since I'm out of state dealing with electrical issues. The only thing is that I have an NA n350 alt in my t2. I'd like some feedback and maybe some course of action. 120 dollar alternator hurts especially if I may have other issues. Thank you all in advance.

Your alternator is bad. You need another one. Do you have tools to change it? Could you change a pulley out from your old one to a new one?

+1 and you said it yourself, it tested bad. Rec to replace an alternator! You can always try looking or googling local junkyards to find a cheaper alternative but it might not work after you buy it. Buyer Beware.
