Alternator options?

it seems my alternator is poo, when all i have is the turn signal on i can watch my tach needle drop with the blinker.

my question is, what can i replace it with that would be more powerful that stock?

You can put a alternator from a FD, I haven't done this to my car but I think all you need is new spacers and pulley. Go to 2nd gen parts for sale section, there is someone who makes a kits to make FD alternator fit FC.

It sounds more like you might have grounding issues, check all your grounds, add some if necessary.
do search on ground kits, there is lots of good info on it

Silverrotor sells FD alts ready to be put into FC's for a really good price compared to buying a weaker FC alt. I would send him a PM

Yeah, check grounds before you start replacing alternators. Especially the ground under the fuse box on the inner fender.
