Alternator belt

How hard is it to change my alternator belt? Is there much that I have to take apart?

It's not hard if you have a set of wrenches you have to take all the belts off in front of it which is the air pump the A/C compressor if you have it, and the power steering belt if it has PS. Not hard if you have the tools and know what to do.

Its easy as hell. Having a 10mm combo wrench w/ a box end rachet makes taking off the fan a breeze.

You don't have to take the fan off In order to get to the Alternator Belt.

Have you adopted the Aaron Cake approach to posting?

If you're going to say something like that the least you could do is also elaborate on why. Or do you want him to chase you to find out what your 411/technique is? Come on!

You can slip the belt over the fan each blade at a time. I find it quicker to just pull it off (well, did until I put an e-fan in).

Ahh...here we go. AMUR. Flattery sucks dude. So don't do It. I'm suggesting that the fan doesn't have to come off.

Do I have to spell out that you can slip the belt over the fan one blade at a time? Chase around? I think Furious D got It the first time around.
