everything should bolt up just peachy. the only stink is swappin all that wiring cause you have to use ALL of it from the S4 but since the S5 is already stirpped down then have at it

Good luck and have fun

Cant he just swap out the shortblocks? Wouldnt that be easier? Just sounds easeier than ALL the wiring ( down to the tail lights).

that woudl be easier...

except the S5 has *nothing* inside of it...

again, he's talking about an entire swap..

basically taking the sheetmetal of an S5 and building an S4 out of it...

sounds like a pain, but it'll work...

yah so even all the way back to the tails?

Dang ok so none of the wiring from an s5 will plug with an s4?
Has anyone else tried this before?

and will a s5 intake manifold bolt up to a s4 motor properly???

You should be able to fit up S5 intake stuff on an S4 motor but understand that the TPS and other wiring things are different between the 2. the ECU's and all the wiring harness(s) have different connectors and pin-outs for different things. you can make them work but you must me good at reading wiring diagrams and soldering to pull it off cleanly. but everything should bolt up fine. the chassis' are virtually identical. swapping "A-pillar" interior parts might be a pain cause S5's had the auto-seatbelt mounts but that shouldn't even matter. Best bet would be to use as much of the S4 as possible just to make it a quick and easy fix.

And BTW, I commend performing the swap. I mean, if you have a good chassis, the why pay for body work? Way to go.

Good luck, have fun

S4's have a "single" TPS. S5's have a "dual-mode" high range/low range TPS, don't think the wiring hooks up right. prolly just too much trouble.
