rolling proof that a good project takes time and effort...congrats, this car has come a long way!! absolutely beautiful inside and out, I happen to like the black trim on S4's with S5 nose/tail conversion - don't change a thing!!

-RarestRX, I fully agree - it's cars like this and BlueTII that make you really want to convert to a turbo. Although yours and your friends GTUs, my car and a couple other cars are NA's to envy a car like this makes the turbo-swap hard to pass up. I'm planning mine now, the GVR4 is almost back on the road w/ it's new motor and 18G then the FC goes under the knife for respray and a TII swap. I'm also trying to work out an IC setup similar to Blue TII's GORGEOUS job then a cage is the last step (figure next year). Hopefully by thte fall I'm boosting and looking at cars like this makes laying the project out all the sweeter. Now if they'd only make my IC pipes at the shop and bolt my turbo on I'd can give the FC to J&R!! hehe

Did you have any problems relocating the battery? Where did you run the ground wire to? Did you run the positive under the car or through the firewall?

Are those torinos? What seat bracket did you use?

Sharp looking TII bro!

So when you cut that front bumper, did you just use touch up paint or something so you wouldnt see the yellow color of the plastic on the stock mazda bumper? It looks really good, has that "big mouth" look without the rediculous bumper cost. Any special stuff or difficulties with cutting that bumper????

By the way, temp reduction from 210 to 180 is impressive!!!

The battery relocation was pretty easy. I did it when I switched out the brown interior for the black interior. I have the battery grounded to the chassic in the rear of the car. The battery is outed through the firewall inside of the car.

The seats are Sparco Torinos. I modified the stock sliders to work with the seats.

Thats exactly what I did when I cut the bumper. I used a jig saw with a fine tooth blade, it worked great!

I was impressed with the temp. drop also.

Looking at your interior, you need some of these:

It would finish it right up!

Yo,

Heh, sorry, just I know 2 other guys with TII's that have to be pushed around.

What did you have done with the turbo? Have the small child removed that got sucked in?

That thing is a monster.

Very very nice car. Damn that thing is beutiful.
Only thing is I'm not a fan of the Torinos, but if you like that's all that matters, more of a racing bucket guy.

That Greddy FMIC, is that just the upgrade they sell? How do you like it?

Nice looking mazda, but i don't really care for the big mouth you put on the front of it! Makes the front end look kinda dorky! The rest looks really nice! Nice wheels and paint, good looking engine compartment too! Gotta love those seats!

I know how that feels, my 7 was down for quite awhile and I would PUSH it out of the garage to wash it now and then.

If you have time, I'm sure you've forgotten some of the little things you've done, but can you write out a mod list. AND, maybe if you could tell us about you buying it, rebuilding it etc. Its a major inspiration to me.....and to most of other enthusiasts I would as well I would think.

Yo,

I don't know why everyone rips on the front of the car...I love that huge exposed FMIC and the cut bumper. That is a straight Japanese modification. If you look at the Japanese RX-7 magazines, tons of FC's have that done, including that crazy pink FC that pulls 8's or something.

I think it's cool!
