88 GXL Automatic transmission

Ok so i'm gonna' go through this very througly, or at least try to before the add kicks in.

On my friends car he just bought, he has the 3800 rpm hesitation.

If i put it in first (automatic car) I can feather thepedal and get it up to about 5500 rpm.

The thing is, at about 4k or so, the redline buzzer comes on and the oil and coolant levels are fine however, and i'm obviously not at redline yet. No lights come on.

The other electrical issues it has is the wiper switch, and the high beams dont work, the sunroof wouldnt close today unless we turned the car off then on again.

When you first start the car, the power steering is just like on my car. But after a while it feels like it has minimal assist.

Is it more than likely just grounds, IE should I reground the ECU in the wiring harness in the kick panel, or should we try changing the fuel pump and filter first? I already have a spare pump so thats no biggy really.

I'm also not sure if the PS or sunroof problem is related, but perhaps it is.

Anyone want to point me in the right direction?
