for the sake of all functionality.....yes
although there was an option for backseats where the bins are (to replace the bins)...and I hear if you are over 3 feet tall you can't sit in them anyways...

But yeah, not really such thing as a backseat for an RX7 as its only good for groceries

Most Jap spec FC's were 2+2. Its my understanding that only the Infini models were 2seaters in Japan... mine is 2+2 (Jap import into Aus)
The back seats are useable... I fit sorta comfortably (100kg 180cm male)

once i had 6 people in my s4 rx7.
The story is i went to a bbq, and right before i left i noticed the 4banger honda that drove everyone there left. and now everybody is asking me for a ride. I had 3 chicks in the back and 1 sitting on a my goodfriends lap in the passenger seat. I was almost tempted to let him drive =) ahaha
