All right!!!!! a broken bolt!!! Fun right?

Hi guys Im back again!!!! Before I begin sobbing about my problem..... I just want to show you guys my apperciation!!!


THANK YOU ALL!!!!!



Well today I went to my 89 Glx and was going to enjoy a wonderful day at work....When all of a sudden, a bolt under the clutch assembly breaks and the pedal is smashed all the day way down!!! The bolt has a smooth surface in the middle and is surrounded by tread on both sides. Please tell me IF I can fix this!!! Ill be home all day 2marow, thank you all for your replies. Ill take pictures 2marow... gotta bum a ride to work now, PEACE!!!!

TX Temp. Fix for your problem...

Sounds like you just need a stud. take the broken peice (measure the length from end to end...) then take a piece of the broken part with you (so you can get the correct thread pitch and dia.) to your local "Fastenal" or bolt supply company and get a new stud. (unless you really want to spend the money for a mazda replacement part). I may have it wrong because you dont have pic of the broken part, but I think I'm right.

Oh ok thanks!!!!! Your a life saver, Im at work now checking the reply w my sidekick!!!!! Ill be sure to take the bolt to home depot and match it up. The problem is how to determine where that came from under the steering wheel{clutch assembly} is it hard to take the assembly out? Thanks ill check this periodically, l will provide pictures 2marow!
