All fan/heater functions gone?

the car in question is a 1990 GXL which i have recently started restoring. One of the issues i needed to sort out was the blower motor not working properly. The fan directions were working, but the heater relay( i think thats what its called) next to the EX-HI relay was missing. I took the whole blower motor assy out of the car and checked to see if the motor itself would spin when introducing voltage.
cleaned everything and followed the terminals for the motor up to the junction where i had that missing relay. I jumpered it and it worked just fine. I went to make a decent connection (something other than a paperclip) and when i put my new jumpers back in it did not work. I think i put them on wrong and fried something in the car.

As of now, NONE of the logicon functions work. I checked to see if i blew the room fuse but it seems to be fine. I pulled the logicon out of the car and checked to see if anything was fried. Nothing.
I'm thinking that perhaps i messed something up in the CPU? Is it possible a CPU failure of some kind would result in these symptoms? I really made a mess of things

Make sure the Heater, Wiper, Cigar and Meter fuses are all good as they can each play a role w/regards to the A/C-heater unit.

turns out the wiper fuse was blown, replaced it and my previous functions are restored. However i still want to know if i can jumper the connection i tried previously. im not sure if the jumper was the cause for the blown fuse, or me just connecting it the wrong way. I believe its the EX-HI that im missing upon further inspection of the FSM
