Airbox Connections

I haven't had an FC in a while and just picked up an 87 TII. I don't remember what these two nipples on the back of the airbox are supposed to feed. Can I just cap them off until I do the emissions removal, or do I need a couple new hoses? I've got about a 2k mile drive before I get it home to really work on it.

Thanks.

left side should be blank, right side is for the vent leading to the smog pump intake.

If you don't have an air pump, you can cap the larger one. I did that on my old TII until I installed the air pump and ACV. Never had an issue with it capped.

They are pre-filter too, so you could run them un-capped as well.
