Bottom line...
On average, the typical U.S. driver is a total moron.
Add "passive" safety devices and this allows these idiots to justify driving faster...
Go figure.
We HAVE those 'aggressive' airbags. And that means that your points become INVALID in an arguement against us.
Invalid? Hell no. Mark said that "Air bags have absolutely no place in an automobile", which is not true at all. The effectiveness of airbags in other parts of the world has been proven, so why aren't efforts being made to increase seatbelt wearing so safer bags can be used? The US has got itself into this mess so what's happening to change that?
Why should we care that you have better airbags? How does that affect people living where WE do?
Settle down man, I just posted that for info. I hope that there are some Americans here who give a **** what happens in other parts of the world, particularly when it seems you guys are getting a raw deal compared to everyone else.
Are you just saying we should all buy Australian cars so that we can have these 'safer' Australian airbags?
Um, yeah that's what I really meant all along...
Here where WE live, airbags cause more harm than good.
Whoa there cowboy, where's your proof of that? Airbags in US cars are obviously causing more harm than they should, but I do not see them doing more harm than good. Thats a huge leap you're making there.
