air/water intercooler?
I was looking at intercoolers for my TII and came across this
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Liqui...QQcmdZViewItem
I was curious what you guys though about these as opposed to front mount intercoolers? Also how hard are they to set up and does anyone have a link to a write up of an install of one?
Thanks

it would be more efficient than an air to air intercooler. i don't think it would be bad to setup at all either. it just wouldnt be plug and play like the fmic kits. i'm not too sure about that one either.

You also have to find a way to keep the water cool. When the air passes through, heat exchange takes place and the air gets colder while the water gets warmer.
So unless you plan on driving your car around with liquid nitrogen or a bunch of icewater, or a big external reservoir, then it might not be such a good idea. The intercooler, the piping, the lines, the water, the tank, the pump, etc. etc. etc.
Would be great for a drag car but not so much for a street car.

what are your plans for the car? street driving? or full out racing?
since these setups are typically used for drag cars (only most efficient on a short trip) I wouldn't recommend it on the street....
Plus for the simplcity of some of the front mount kits out there now I wouldn't really want to bother going to the extra work a water/air IC would require.
But to each his own

Well it would be for a street setup the one thing I am worried about is the size of my gp sports front bumper... if i put an IC in the opening it will block the rad therfore causing the temps to get hotter... but i was just curious if anyone had done this and for street your right it doesnt sound all too practical
