Question air sensors

why is the FC maf and air flow sensored? and whta happens if you take the air flow sensor off?

oh yeah - the MAF is the airflow sensor

It is the only way the ECU can tell, electrically, how much intake air is going into the engine. Critical for proper fuel scheduling...

And yes it does shut the car off if you take it out becuase I've tried it

Some people here from what I've read from searching is that they tryed to use a mustang MAF becuase its not nearly as restrictive.. but no ones posted how well thats worked out.
