air pump leaking air through hole in the back?

I noticed that the air pump on my S5 91 N/A has a hole in the back leaking air, I need to do smog soon and ive never noticed this. Is this a problem and should i replace the pump?

It's for a wick.,.,you fill it with gas, light wick and toss the pump at a Honda..lol!

Seriously though If you want to check the pump just take the hose off the outlet and turn the pulley(somehow or start engine..be Careful.!)..if you feel air it is Ok.
